Where do I get a copy of DOS to run with XTM? Do you supply it?The XTM package does not include a copy of DOS. If you want to run Microsoft's MS-DOS, you will need to get a copy from somewhere. If you have an old PC which is no longer used , you may be able to use the MS-DOS from that machine. Otherwise, you need to buy a copy from your local computer store. An alternative is to run DR-DOS from Lineo, Inc. You can download it from the Internet - see http://www.drdos.org. If you download the diskette version, the "disk image" format they use is directly compatible with XTM, and so you could boot and run directly. Sadly however, their installation script assumes that your machine has a real hard drive, and the first thing it does is complain that it can't find it under XTM. To make a usable boot floppy with DR-DOS therefore means first making a real boot floppy for your PC, and then editing the scripts and files to suit the XTM environment. Please be careful doing this - we have not tried out all combinations of using DR-DOS on a Windows PC, and you may cause problems on your PC if you get it wrong.
